You like Reading? Donate a book! is an action of „Cultures of the World” Foundation, whose aim is the dissemination of reading in northern Tanzania. It is a part of project: Multimedia Library in Moshi – development opportunity for the region (http://www.kulturyswiata.org/co-robimy/projekty-biezace/multimedialna-biblioteka-w-moshi--szansa-na-rozwoj-regionu).

In 2006 for 11000 primary schools in Tanzania, only 2,8% of them have had libraries. The best situation was in a school where one student had two books, the worst was in an institution where 1891 pupils shared one book. Help us to develop capacities of Teachers’ Resource Center in Moshi (northern Tanzania). Teachers of 60 primary schools and 40 high schools in the region take advantage of its resources.

How you can help:

- Donate a book to learn English, audiobook, or dictionary (English to English), or an educational game. Please note that books will be used by Tanzanians (so we do not need English or American literature)

- Inform 15 friends about the action

 

Name of each donor will be put on a board places on the library wall during the opening of the library in November 2012.
